What type of loan should I apply for?

There are a number of different loan products on the market and it’s definitely not a ‘one size fits all’ approach.

What is APR?

APR is the Annual Percentage Rate which is applied over a year and is the annual rate charged for borrowing. The APR will differ with each product.

Can I get a loan with a poor credit score?

We understand that sometimes things happen that are out of your control which cause your credit score to be less than perfect, however, it’s not impossible to get a loan with a poor credit score. Usually having a guarantor will help.

How much will the monthly repayments be?

Repayment amounts are based on how much you wish to borrow and over how long, as well as your individual circumstances. Choose Wisely is unable to tell you what your repayments will be - the best thing to do is to go through our Get Accepted journey where you can review quotes from providers within a comparison table.

How do I withdraw my loan application?

If you’ve applied for a loan through Choose Wisely and you’ve changed your mind, that’s fine - you’re under no obligation to continue the loan application with a lender. If you’ve already completed your application with a lender and you’d like to withdraw the application, you’ll need to contact the lender you applied with to do so.

You have a statutory right to withdraw from a loan agreement within 14 days of taking the loan out, and you’ll usually have 30 days to pay back the loan from the date of your withdrawal.
