I took out a loan with this company a few years back... Paid off every month until I hit a rock with other debts, organised a dmp with step change charity, who were amazing and we came to an agreement with everyday loans to repay a small amount back. This was fine, but this deal was informal and didn't protect either myself or my creditors. I was recommended to apply for an Iva to ensure that my debt would be reduced and my creditors such as everyday loans would get the money I owe... And it wouldn't impact my life as much... I thought I had nothing to worry about until everyday loans refused my Iva... Even though they are happy to receive a non informal agreement. Thanks for being awkward

I was in the bexleyheath branch last week, they didn't accept me which is fine but what I do have a problem with is the absolute rudeness of the staff. All she done was look down her nose at me like she was above me. They are all pretty useless to be fair . They could of rejected me on phone instead of making come down to their little set up. Don't use them. Interest rates are a joke, I was desperate so went to them.

Very friendly first contact on telephone. completely different experience at the Stockport office. Very pushy and rude and when they required some bank statements which I was only able to provide the following week. I got a look of disgust from the awful woman handling my case. I probably would have taken the loan out had it not been for her attitude.

everyday loans couldn't be better!

I first applied for everyday loans as I needed some money for consolidation. I applied at the portsmouth branch and got invited in for a chat. The staff (lisa and team) Were very welcoming and we're not judgmental in the slightest. My credit rating was poor at the time and they helped explain to me what I could do to improve it. They offered me a loan which granted had high Apr however was fair based on my poor credit! They explained the process very clearly and made me feel very comfortable. the money was in my account 3 days later. I then came into some money and was able to pay them off and some other debts within 2 months of having the loan. I checked for a settlement figure using an online calculator on another site and emailed everyday loans to confirm the actual amount. They came back with a settlement figure axactly as the calculator stated in line with the regulations act. I called to pay them off a few days later which was easy and quick. All in all, I couldn't rate them higher!

I went into everyday loans on a promise that I would be approved for a loan as long as I brought the nessessary paperwork, which I did. The member of staff (Tim) and his colleague who's name I did not manage to get managed to add up my finances completely wrong. Even when I pointed out where they had gone wrong and corrected their workings they still refused to work out the correct amount for my disposable income which is over £400 pm. After being turned down I asked what the interest would have been anyway out of curiosity which Tim informed me would have been 107%. At no point was this difference mentioned since the website states 79.9%. There alert hidden fees on their loans also which in my eyes makes them worse than even payday loans! Seriously avoid at all costs if you would like to keep your credit rating viable at any point in the future. Total joke.

I felt for you...

I felt for you reading all of that, I know they have to be responsible but I hate when lenders make you jump through all these hoolahoops to get them the information they want and the way they sometimes build up your hopes only for you to then be declined, especially when they advertise as a 'bad credit lender' and yet they then decline you on the basis of you having bad credit, they're contradicting themselves, if they can't help people with bad credit then they should not be allowed to advertise themselves as a bad credit lender, thanks.

Wanted to charge 1400 for lending 3k for 11 weeks!!!

I'll be honest here and say that they are quick and easy to get a loan. We went to take a 3,000 loan and advised them we would be paying it back early as needed for short term rather than long term. They said yes it will be fine to pay back early. 11 weeks passed and we paid every week to the tune of 980 quid. We then called to pay off the whole balance as didn't fancy paying the interest for the whole tune. They wanted another 3400 off us baring in mind we had already paid 980 off and only took 3,000 in the first place. they had set us on weekly payments for a monthly Loan for an amount which didn't even cover the interest!! Irresponsible lenders!! Drag there feet of you ask to settle! Worked it out we were being charged 14.00 pound interest a day based on their settlement figure!! No wonder it took a week to hear back with a disgusting settlement figure as they were making 98.00 a week interest!!! Makes me so angry the government should stop these people!! Prying on the vulnerable!

Our review of Everyday Loans

Everyday loans strongly position themselves as a lender for people with bad credit and their website is filled with content about how to improve credit, what to do if you file for bankruptcy and how to consolidate debts.

They seem to take a more personal approach to lending. Once you have completed the short online form you’ll be given a conditional decision in only a few minutes, you’ll then need to pop into a branch to complete the application. If you like dealing with people face-to-face then you’ll most likely find this process comforting, however if you’re looking for a convenient loan application then this probably isn’t the right route for you as their branches are only in a handful of towns and cities across the UK.

At the time of writing, Feefo.com gives Everyday Loans 4.7 out of 5, with the vast majority of customers rating them excellent or good. Looking at the reviews it seems that the face-to-face approach really works for them – customers have responded well to their staff and their knowledge of finance and have seemingly had very smooth journeys. On Choose Wisely it seems to be a slightly different story with mixed reviews causing a score of 3.7 out of 5.

Overall verdict: The personal approach has seemed to work for Everyday Loans and generally they appear to help their poor credit customers. The website could do with a little more information on it about loan terms, but I expect any questions are answered during the appointment in branch.
