Our review of NatWest | Low Rate credit card
It’s a shame that the NatWest Low Rate credit card comes with an annual fee as the representative APR is reasonable and affordable. There is no fee for making a balance transfer which is a nice benefit, and you’ll only pay 6.9% interest on this and any purchases. The fee for non-sterling transaction fees is also slightly lower than competitors at 2.75% for foreign transactions.
In 2015, Fairbanking undertook an independent assessment of different financial products and awarded the NatWest Low Rate credit card a three star award for its helpful features. You’ll also get the standard 56 days’ interest free on purchases as long as the current and final monthly payments are both made on time.
There are no online reviews specific to the Low rate credit card, TrustPilot have given NatWest a rating of ‘bad’ overall. This doesn’t just apply to their cards, but also the other products that they provide. Some customers have been left dissatisfied with less than perfect customer service, lack of professionalism and difficulties with switching products.
Overall verdict: The NatWest Low Rate credit card does have its benefits, such as no fee for balance transfers as well as competitive representative APR. Worth exploring further if you’re eligible.
