NatWest | Clear Rate platinum credit card customer reviews.
1.6 out of 5 stars
Natwest makes you spend an awful long time in the waiting queue when you try to phone them. It is frankly disgusting! I am so appalled by this company and am now switching credit card provider, as well as current account. What an awful bank!!!!!!
Great rates and easy to pay back on online banking
Really disappointed that Natwest have a Σ25 annual fee for some of their credit cards, why???? The competition out there must be tough, there are so many other credit cards to choose from, most with no annual charge.
Online aspects work well, rewards not spectacular.
Fair rate of interest, easy to use app, excellent fraud prevention, good all round credit card provider.
Natwest platinum its awesome because its got a super low rate at 5%
Our review of NatWest | Clear Rate platinum credit card
It’s a shame that the NatWest Clear Rate Platinum credit card comes with an annual fee as the representative APR is reasonable and affordable. There is no fee for making a balance transfer which is a nice benefit, and you’ll only pay 6.9% interest on this and any purchases. The fee for non-sterling transaction fees is also slightly lower than competitors at 2.75% for foreign transactions.
In 2015, Fairbanking undertook an independent assessment of different financial products and awarded the NatWest Clear Rate Platinum credit card a three star award for its helpful features. You’ll also get the standard 56 days’ interest free on purchases as long as the current and final monthly payments are both made on time.
The OPTIOSCORE for the NatWest Clear Rate Platinum credit card is fairly average across the board, but much higher than the NatWest Student Credit Card. Although there are no online reviews specific to the Clear Rate Platinum credit card, TrustPilot have given NatWest a rating of ‘bad’ overall. This doesn’t just apply to their cards, but also the other products that they provide. Some customers have been left dissatisfied with less than perfect customer service, lack of professionalism and difficulties with switching products.
Overall verdict: The NatWest Clear Rate Platinum credit card does have its benefits, such as no fee for balance transfers as well as competitive representative APR. Worth exploring further if you’re eligible.
