Our review of Tuxedo | Pay As You Go Prepaid Card
Tuxedo offer two prepaid cards that are identical in terms of benefits and the way they work, however the Pay as You Go Prepaid Card is aimed towards customers who will use it less frequently, at a rate of four or five times a month. The only difference between the two cards is that this card has no monthly fee, and instead customers have to pay small charges every time they use it at a cash point or when making online and in-store purchases. The maximum you would pay for a purchase is a fee of £1.50 which is why it’s aimed towards customers who would use it less often, otherwise the charges would mount up and become expensive.
One of the main draws of the Tuxedo Pay as You Go Prepaid Card is that it’s easy to load and control. The online management tool can be accessed 24/7 and allows customers to take action such as checking their balance, adding an additional cardholder or checking how much cashback has been earned. The Tuxedo Pay as You Go Prepaid Card can be used anywhere in the world that the MasterCard logo is displayed.
Unfortunately there are no reviews online for us to gauge the type of experience previous customers have had with the Pay as You Go Prepaid Card, or Tuxedo as a company. This could be due a number of reasons including the fact that they might not have that issued many of them.
Overall verdict: A good option if you’re an infrequent user as you don’t have to pay a monthly fee, but can still make use of the benefits such as the cashback and online management portal. If you think you’re going to use your Tuxedo Pay as You Go Prepaid Card more than four or five times a month then you should explore their Pay Monthly option.
