Uncle Buck customer reviews.
4.2 out of 5 stars
A customer of Uncle Buck gave my telephone number to Uncle Buck. I have never heard of either the customer or Uncle Buck. I've been harassed by lots of calls from Uncle Buck over the last couple of months, despite telling them the person does not live here. Some of the calls are very early in the morning. I've been accused of providing false information (which is not correct). I have reported this company to the Information Commissioner's Office due to the vexatious calls.
they failed to take money on due day claiming bank refused which is their error now saying my bank account had nill in it despite me being paid they want my bank statement to prove this by law they are not allowed to demand anything never again will I deal with such rude people they are a disgrace and I am reporting them then I will be dam right rude to them don't touch they are a disgrace
Was given a loan for 75quid which was needed due to an unforseen expense. The repayments took it to nearly double, which I was obviously prepared to pay back.. the release of the funds took 14 hours after acceptance.. I missed the final installment due to a road traffic accident and was increasingly terrorised with phone call after phone call after phone call. 3 different numbers all stating they were collections but these numbers were In 3 different areas of the country hundreds of miles apart. Ridiculous. Unprofessional and rude.
This company go mad if funds bounce and act like they were someone off the street. So unprofessional don't bother with them
I have had a few loans off this company, but due to a very sudden bereavement my payment was late. Other creditors have been so good and arranged to be paid with what I can afford. NOT UNCLE BUCK!! Persistent phone calls, very uncaring staff, rude and dictating to me what I should pay which is an amount I cannot afford. I have been told that as long as you pay something a month even a £1 that this cannot be refused. Never use this company, awful people
Money recieved quickly but will use Wonga as cheaper costs quite high and repaid 2 days ago and get phone calls do I want another loan there online payment system is c**p always repay by phone if repaying early
I applied for a loan was charged 15 pounds for fast process the fast process took almost a day I complained and was informed the fast payment option is based on as and when the under writers approve the loan so uncle buck makes easy money for themselves with misleading information to customers. Notably other lenders dont charge a transfer fee and this companys rates along with frequent annoying reminders that you loan is due has been the last transaction I will do with them
Just look at this. It cam up in the last stage of the borrowing process:Loan Amount - £75Loan Time - 12 DaysAPR- 910021.0%!!!Amount Repayable - £101.21Then, if I don't want to wait the best part of a week to receive it, I see there is a Instant Bank Transfer fee £15.Amount to Actually Receive - £60Total Cost of borrowing £60 - £41.21NEVER use these guys. There are floods of other lenders who will do a much better deal - and even the better ones are still really bad. Use Wonga or quick-quid.. or anyone else who is generally on the telly. Those guys are generally much better.
After using a few other lenders previously, I found Uncle buck to be the best. They promised the cash within 30 mins, they delivered, clear concise repayment plan, brilliant. Thanks! Will def use again.
Uncle buck helped me out with a loan.... on the same day too! was surprised that we got it all sorted that quickly, there was only 1 phone call as well... it is quite expensive like most of these sorts of lenders but- i would reccomend them to someone who urgently needed some cash on the same day...
Our review of Uncle Buck
Uncle Buck offer short term installment loans up to a value of £1,000 that are repaid over four or six months. Uncle Buck will provide you with a summary of borrowing that outlines the repayment amounts and dates so you’ll be able to get an overview of the loan prior to making a commitment. As with any high-cost short-term product the usual warning applies. If you have any doubt whether you can afford to repay your loan on time and in full, then don’t apply. By missing or being late with repayments, you will not only harm your credit file but also could be subject to a number of fees, which can soon make things very expensive.
If you do borrow from Uncle Buck and happen to have some spare cash knocking around before the end of your loan term then you could benefit from making an overpayment or settling the loan early. Not only is this free of charge, but you could also be entitled to an interest rebate making your loan significantly cheaper.
They do have reviews on their website which link through to TrustPilot where they’ve achieved a score of 8.2 out of 10. Customers mainly have good things to say, commenting specifically on their friendly and efficient customer service. Uncle Buck reply to almost every review whether good or bad, to either say thank you or try to resolve the issue again reiterating Uncle Buck’s customer focus.
