4.7 out of 5 stars
Applied online. Didnt hear within the 5 working days as it states on the website so i rang up. Recieved a call the next day and then agent came out the day after that filled in details and gave me cash there and then out of his back pocket. Told him a day and time to come and off he went on holiday. His replacement came twice, both on days i hadnt agreed so i wasnt in. Other than that they are ok. Asked me if i wanted 100 150 or 200
applied online got a phone call two days laters saying i have been accepted for £100 my agent was around a few days later on time the process was quick and simple and repayments on which day you wish to use is up to you my agent is friendly and arrives on time every repayment day would highly recommend them to others like provident
i phoned for loan and got it the very next day with no problems at all,so far so good
I have been using Morses for a couple years now, on and off, as and when needed. I have never had a problem, felt forced or uncomfortable in any way with the company or my agent. She is reliable and always called at the same day and time each week. She was always polite and have me prior notice when she was going on holiday and I could expect another agent to call around instead. I've always found the simplicity of the system a brilliant plus, the quickness of the money and the understanding and relatable nature of the staff and the reasonable rates (in comparison to other lenders out there) all work brilliantly for me. I have never had anything but good things to say about them and recommend them to my friends too.
I have never come across a company as bad as this!! I applied online 3 weeks, after finding them on Lenderscompared. It states on their website that an agent will contact you within 2 working days - 2 weeks later a lady rung me. She arranged for the agent to call out to me the next day - he didnt arrive. I rung them and asked what was going on, only to be told the agent had called but got no answer (even though I made it clear to them what time I would be available and agreeing a mutual time with them). The agent did however turn up the following day, filled in all the paper work and he said I would hear back by Monday the latest. As he was leaving he said 'I will see you Monday'. So silly me, assumed he would be here Monday. I rung them Monday morning just to see if the loan application had been successful. I was told they didnt know, so to ring back in the afternoon. I then rung back and was told my application had been successful, but when asked would the agent be with me on that day I was told ' I doubt it, it will either be tomorrow or Wednesday. I told her the agent told me he would be here Monday, her reply 'Well if he said Monday, he will be with you today'. We are now Tuesday, and no sign of the agent. Ive rung them 5 times but all im getting is a voicemail!! How this company is allowed to operate is beyond me, they are horrendous. In all fairness to Provident, I once applied online on a Sunday, by 1pm the following day they were with me with my loan. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. Its no wonder I had never heard of them before - absolutely shocking is what they are.
I applied online for a loan with Morses, it took them about a week to get back to me but I was told I could have a loan of £150. The following Wednesday I had the money in my hand. My agent always calls the same time and day each week and is always pleasant and friendly. I had to miss a week once and when I explained he was fine about it.
an absolute let down!! twice was told we was definately getting the loan we had applied for and both times we was let down, was'nt even contacted by their 'manager' will definately be discouraging anybody else thinking about using this 'company'
WELL WAT A JOKE OF A COMPANY THEY NEVER ANSWER THE PHONE A LADY FINALLY COME OUT TO SAY I GOT ACCEPTED FOR 100 POUND AND NEVER RETURNED WIV THE MONEY !!!!!! STAY AWAY I RECOMMEND GREENWOODS SHOPACHECK AND PROVIDENT !!!!!
Me, my partner and her cousin who was living here at the time got a loan and we paid it off then over a year later they send debt collector letters saying we still owe them money no way of proving as we didn't keep paperwork. They also tried putting partners cousins debt in me and my partners name as he moved away with no forwarding address. This company should be shut down!
All in all found them very helpful, good service excellent collector .
Our review of Morses Club
Morses Club, which merged with Shopacheck in early 2015, state on their website that they help around 200,000 customers around the UK, 100 branches and 2,500 self-employed agents. Their website talks a lot about responsible lending and they appear to want to put a personal spin on the service they provide. Customers can apply online for up to £1000 if they have had a loan with Morses Club before and have proved themselves to be creditworthy. Following a home visit and final checks the agent will provide the loan in cash, and then call back each week to collect the repayments.
One thing to note with Morses Club is that even though the process seems simple and convenient, you are only able to receive a loan from them if you live in an area that is serviced by a branch and agents. You can check your eligibility on their website and if you don’t fall into one of these areas then Morses Club are unable to provide you with a loan.
Overall verdict: Morses Club seem to be able to attribute their success to their friendly agents with customers appreciating their personal touch. Nevertheless, ensure that you can afford the repayments before you apply as otherwise you will be faced with someone at the door who will leave disappointed and if it continues, you’ll end up damaging your credit rating.

About Morses Club
Morses Club offer unsecured loans between £100 and £1000 that can be repaid over 20, 33 or 52 weeks. For new customers they offer from £100 - £400 over 20 or 33 weeks. Their representative APR is 433.5%, however the rate you are given could differ, depending on your personal circumstances. Morses Club are a doorstep lender, so after the online application is completed and you are accepted, an agent will deliver the cash directly to your home and will then return each week to collect the repayments.
During the application process an initial form is completed online and includes a credit check, after this the customer will need to pick a date and time for their dedicated Morses Club agent to come to their house, finalise the loan and do an affordability check. The agent will also need to see photographic identification and either a utility bill, payslip, birth certificate or other official letter.
Customers are given a payment card that logs each of their repayment amounts, helping them to keep track of their balance and how many repayments are left in the loan term. There is no charge for settling the loan early - you will need to speak directly to your Morses Club agent who will be able to process this for you.
